tldr; The IRS has been granted permission to serve a John Doe summons on M.Y. Safra Bank to identify U.S. taxpayers who may have failed to report to the IRS, and pay taxes on, cryptocurrency transactions. The summons seeks information about customers of SFOX, a cryptocurrency prime broker, who used banking services offered by the bank.

If you're part of the system you're part of the problem.

Never KYC.

Taxes are the biggest robbery your government can do. Its like the last nail in the coffin for some people. You sold some BTC years ago and now they find out and chase you to pay the tax on it. You might even don't have any proof of that since it was years ago. Ridiculous. The other thing is that if crypto will be used for future payments they need to put a line for example 120k per year or something in which you don't pay tax on and if you go above that you do. It's still ridiculous but at least not like now. Basically F taxes!

Unpopular opinion.. pay your crypto taxes.. if it feels onerous get tax software.. if you don’t want to do your taxes hire someone.. the IRS hired 10s of thousands of new auditor’s.. of course they going to put them to work..

This is how the US destroys the bitcoin industry inside their country and pushes innovation to free countries that do not tax bitcoin usage.
