How does Defi Governance and Voting take place?

Hello folks. I wanted to have some understanding on how currently voting system and proposals are passed in Defi protocols. Thanks in advance!

It's pretty simple, DAOs power decision making on decentralized platforms, take BitDAO as an example: BIT holders vote on project proposals to choose which builders to fund, and the voting weight depends on how much BIT the individuals holds.
